Confederacy of Dunces was the 1987 novel by John Kennedy Toole.
Here in Nova Scotia, we have our very own Confederacy of Dunces. They meet occasionally at Province House. They also spend a lot of time playing with matches, setting themselves on fire and then extinguishing the flames.
